Howdy! I’m Heidi, founder of Paradise Homesteader

Thanks for visiting Paradise Homesteader! We are a small farm located in Northern Utah doing what we can to cultivate a self-sufficient lifestyle including farming, gardening, preserving, raising animals, and cooking from scratch. I believe that God has given us the tools we need to thrive and be self-sufficient, and I’m on the path to discovering what that means for my home and family.

Cultivating a self-sufficient lifestyle

It is my goal to be less and less reliant on grocery stores and more self-sufficient! Life skills from our ancestors have been lost over time, however I intend on bring some of them back! I want to learn from their successes and failures to better my home and family. Living a self-sufficient lifestyle can look different to lots of people, but here at Paradise Homesteader it means raising our own meat, vegetables, eggs, buying raw milk, baking sourdough, canning and freeze drying our harvest, foraging for herbs to eat and use medicinally, learning about wild game, caring for chickens, rabbits and quail, and much more!
